Olympic Gold Medalist Gave a Lesson to GDUFS Badminton Team

June 6^th--Zhang Jiewen, an Olympic Badminton Doubles champion was invited to give a class to the GDUFS Badminton Team  on June 2^nd .

Zhang first played a warm-up game with the Vice President of GDUFS Liu Jianda. Though now a retired player, she is still capable of carrying out many marvelous maneuvers and so received thunderous applause. Later, when the team members were practicing, Zhang carefully observed their movements and helped them to make improvements. She suggested students make use of spare time to practice relaxingly. "For example", she said, "When we are reading English vocabulary books, we can do single-leg standing to promote the sense of balance."

At the end of the lesson, Vice President Liu Jianda extended his thanks to Zhang Jiewen on behalf of the team and expressed the hope to establish a long-term cooperative relationship with her.
