GDUFS Celebrates the 31st Teachers’ Day and Commends Advanced Team and Individuals

On Sep. 10th, the staff of GDUFS gathered in Yunshan Hall, welcoming the 31st Teachers’ Day. The meeting commended a number of advanced teams and individuals.  Chairman of the University Board,SUI Guangjun, and President ZHONG Weihe gave a speech and a report. Leaders of GDUFS awarded the advanced teams and individuals and vice president YANG Aimin hosted the meeting.

SUI Guangjun send his regards to all the staff of GDUFS. He said, over the past year, GDUFS has made great achievements through reform and exploration. Our projects ranked 2nd in Guangdong province and 3rd among the nation. The ability to shoulder vital projects is improving and the social service standard is increasing. All of these achievements would be impossible without the efforts of every single person at GDUFS.

“We have made some progress in the past, and we should work harder in the future.” SUI Guangjun advocated all staff to try their best, to love their school, students and jobs, which help to promote the favorable atmosphere for the stable development of GDUFS.

During the report, ZHONG Weihe concluded the work of GDUFS this year from five aspects: firstly, we should seize the opportunities and enhance the arrangements of resources. Secondly, we should add creativity into teaching methods and promote reform. Thirdly, we should create excellent teams and improve the ability of scientific research. Fourth, we should show our international characteristics and promote international cooperation and communication. Finally, we should work on the school’s core work and improve the standard of management and services.

ZHONG Weihe encouraged teachers to take more responsibilities of cultivating students and delivering knowledge, and devote themselves to their educational careers and allow students to grow.

The vice president FANG Fanquan read out the list of key projects and national-level projects from 2014-2015 in terms of educational reform. The vice president SHI Youqi, HE Chuantian read out other award-winners. SUI Guangjun, ZHONG Weihe and other leaders of GDUFS presented awards to the advanced teams and individuals, and presented certificates of honor to retired staff of this year.
