The Establishment Ceremony of GDUFS’s Youth Federation

On the afternoon of October 25th, the Establishment Ceremony of the Youth Federation of GDUFS was held in the meeting room on the south campus. Vice President LIU Haichun, JIAO Fangtai, LIU Zhijun, GUO Jia, SU Yi, YU Zehao, HUANG Xiaomei, BI Yongjian, LEI Wen and many other representative alumni attended the meeting. CHEN Bin, the deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee, held the ceremony.

GUO Jin reported on the preparation work

During the ceremony, the alumni GUO Jin reported on the preparationwork. The preparation work began in 2012 and was officially finished in 2015. So far, it has worked out the specific working plan and formed a systematic alumni database. Besides, it also set up an account on the WeChat platform to connect alumni together. The council promised to accept different suggestions and to improve and perfect the system continuously. In addition, he introduced the English name of the Youth Federation, inspiration of designing the badge, as well as the name list of the members of the first council.

During the ceremony, the representative alumni inspected and accepted the rules of the Youth Federation, and also presented thename list of the members of the first council. Finally, it was confirmed that SU Yi would serve as the first President of the Youth Federation and LEI Wen would serve as the first Executive President.

He congratulated him on the establishment of the Youth Federation and welcomed all the alumni and guests. He suggested setting up a Foundation on the platform of the Youth Federation. He also invited alumni to come back to GDUFS and help each other.

LEI Wen gave a speech

Afterwards, LEI Wen and SU Yi gave a speech respectively. LEI Wen shared his feelings: firstly, he promised to develop the YouthFederation to bond alumni and GDUFS together and work as a platform. Secondly, he expected the Youth Federation to have its creativities and spirits. Thirdly, he wished GDUFS could achieve more in the future. Finally, SU Yi expressed his gratitude to all the guests.

Foshan Alumni, Tianhe Alumni and so on gave souvenirs to the Youth Federation. All the attendees took a group photo. The members of the first council attended the first meeting in the 103 meeting room.
