On June 11, a delegation from the European University Institute (EUI), led by Georgios Papakonstantinou, Dean of the Florence School of Transnational Governance of the EUI, visited Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS). Notably, in 2016, GDUFS took the lead in establishing the School of International Governance Innovation, which integrates the strengths of multiple disciplines, such as language, economics and management, and law, thus providing strong support for cultivating composite talents capable of performing the tasks of global economic governance. Shi Youqi spoke highly of the deep academic heritage and outstanding achievements in discipline construction of the EUI, and appreciated the EUI as an important partner of GDUFS. GDUFS hopes to further expand and deepen the collaboration with the EUI, and jointly promote the two universities to make new breakthroughs and progress in the internationalization of education.
