Cooperation Agreement Set Between GDUFS and ISCTE-IUL Portugal

On the morning of April, 2^nd President Luis Reto from Lisbon University (ISCET-IUL) with his delegation including Virginia Trigo, the Chinese project principal and Nelson Antonio, the graduate project principal, visited GDUFS. President ZHONG Weihe, Vice President FANG Fanquan and other GDUFS leaders received the distinguished guests at the north campus for the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement. At the meeting, the principal focus was on the continuation of an existing cooperation agreement including a discussion about a new project involving the exchange undergraduates, masters degree students and teaching staff.

President ZHONG expressed his enthusiasm about further developments between the two universities, a collaboration which was originally established in 2010. Up to now, quite a number of students from GDUFS have gone to Portugal. In particular it is hoped the agreement will bring multiple resources to the GDUFS Business College amalgamated in 2014 in terms of its project improvement.

As a demonstration that his university sees possible a more comprehensive and multi-level cooperation, President Reto said that ISCET-IUL could structure itself to equip students with specialized knowledge. In addition, Director Trigo suggested that projects of training Master’s students and science researchers should be created so as to promote exchanges between two countries.

Lastly, both signed the cooperation agreement and exchanged gifts.
