GDUFS Delegates Attend the Trilateral Press Conference of “Campus Asia”

Recently, the Trilateral Press Conference on “Campus Asia” was held by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Meeting Room 201, North Building of the Ministry of Education. In attendance were delegations from the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, Degree and Graduate Education Development Center and Higher Education Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Education, Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat and representatives of the mainstream media from China, Japan and Korea.

Cai Hong, the Director of the International Office and Chen Youduo, the President of the Faculty of Asian Languages and Cultures in GDUFS were present at the conference held by the Chen Yinghui, the Director General of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange of the Ministry of Education. Experimental universities including Beijing University and Fudan University were also selected as outstanding.

At the beginning of the conference, the Director of the Degree and Graduate Education Development Center Wang Lisheng set the spirit of the 5th Trilateral Commission, during which agreement was reached that “CAMPUS Asia” programs shall be formally carried out in 2016 after emphasizing the great significance and value and specifying the means to develop the programs continuously and healthily. Additionally, in the meeting, it was decided that “CAMPUS Asia” programs will be scaled up step-by-step following the principles of being open, flexible, diversified and standardized.

As a “CAMPUS Asia” project leader, Chen Duoyou spoke for GDUFS at the meeting, introducing the operating conditions of “CAMPUS Asia” within our university in terms of the innovation of a talent nurturing mode, the feature of program management and operation as well as the achievement of educational practice. Furthermore, he reported that the program clearly stood out as one of the Ministry of Education’s best in terms of evaluation and the public eye. Not only did Chen’s speech receive high recognition from the conventioneers, but also the Ministry of Education noted the demonstration effect of the “CAMPUS Asia” program of GDUFS had, among all, ten programs. Afterwards, Chen answered the questions raised by the trilateral mainstream journalists, making this his further effort to propagate successful experiences and to show the significant impact of the “CAMPUS Asia” program of GDUFS.
