On the afternoon of March 1, Simon Charrier, Director of International Relations of Paris School of Business (PSB), led a delegation to Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (GDUFS). Yang Li, Vice President of GDUFS, met with the guests in the VIP Hall of the Administration Building of the Baiyun Mountain Campus. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on signing an agreement on joint postgraduate cultivation, establishing faculty and student exchanges, developing scientific research cooperation, and laying the foundation for institutional cooperation, among other topics.

Vice President Yang first extended a warm welcome to the delegation and provided a detailed introduction to the history of GDUFS, its educational strengths, and its achievements in international cooperation and discipline development. He noted that offering 33 foreign language programs, GDUFS features outstanding advantages in disciplines such as Foreign Language and Literature, Economics, and Law. Having established stable cooperation with 523 universities and academic institutions in 70 countries and regions, GDUFS also boasts notable achievements in international cooperation. He expressed the hope that this visit would serve as an opportunity to further advance practical cooperation between the two sides in joint education, student and teacher exchanges, teaching, scientific research, and other fields, expanding the depth and breadth of cooperation and jointly writing a new chapter of win-win cooperation between GDUFS and PSB.
Mr. Charrier extended his gratitude for GDUFS’s warm reception and highly praised its distinctive achievements in discipline development and internationalization. He stated that PSB is a significant member of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles (CGE). It has been awarded EQUIS, AMBA, and AACSB, the three major international accreditations, and has established partnerships with over 150 universities worldwide. He expressed the hope that this visit would serve as a new starting point for the cooperation between the two universities. He also hoped that PSB could fully leverage its strengths in elite business education and international education and deepen cooperation with GDUFS in student exchange, faculty mutual visits, and research collaboration.

Afterward, representatives of both sides exchanged the cooperation agreements for the “3+2” dual-degree program and held in-depth discussions on the specific implementation details of the program, the mechanism for mutual visits between teachers and students, and the directions of scientific research cooperation.

The meeting was chaired by Xu Yiqing, Vice Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange.
