Students from 19 classes, all with different Chinese levels, gathered together to present the charm of Chinese with assorted performances like sketches, choruses, recitations, dubbing and martial art. The confidence, positivity and aggressive attitude were shown by their excellent performance.

Live Chinese Carnival evening party

The evening party unveiled with the melodious singing of phoenix dance south of the Five Ridges. All the audience stood up and chorused the school song. CAI Hong, the Dean of institute for international education, mentioned in her speech that the carnival performance provides international students a good chance to transform their language knowledge to practice. She hoped, with such a lively performance, that everyone can feel the charm of Chinese, which makes the Chinese carnival a festival for international students to taste Chinese culture.

Friends

During the evening party, chorus performances of songs such as The Girl Next Door, FriendsLittle Luck and mixed songs like A Love Song for You all lifted the atmosphere and made audiences fully involved. When it came time for the solo performances,  Aebra and He Doesn’t Know also won applause from the audience, as many of them crooned along with the beat.

A Bright World of GDUFS

In the sketches segment, A Bright World of GDUFS and Embarrassment in Class presented interesting little stories about class and study. Those misunderstandings due to the language and cultural differences are indeed amusing. The“w4”group in Youth Campus Idol Drama even made the audience burst into laughter. Undoubtedly, this group drew everyone’s attention to the stage.

Deep Love for Life

The poetic recitations Fragment and Deep Love for Life were performed by primary class students. Their pronunciation was accurate and fluent, which made the recitation an acoustic enjoyment. The dubbing programme Bao was humorous and emotional; it set people roaring with laughter and made people feel touched.

Spring

To show the brilliance of the teachers, representatives of the staff recited the prosepiece Spring, written by ZHU Ziqing. But it wasn’t an ordinary recitation. It was performed in many different dialects, which allowed the students to experience Chinese culture many new angles.

Members of Guangzhou wushu association

This carnival also invited members of Guangzhou wushu association to perform. The Chinese wushu and lion dance, the vigorous mantis boxing, and vivid drunken lion play all captured the hearts of every single member of the audience. The students in the crowd applauded all together.
