Consul General of Qatar in Guangzhou Visits GDUFS

Ali Al-Hajri, Consul General of Qatar in Guangzhou, visited GDUFS with his team on March 19, 2019. JIAO Fangtai, vice president of GDUFS, met the guests at the VIP Hall in the Administration Building. The two sides discussed strategies to establish and strengthen cooperation.

JIAO Fangtai welcomed the delegation and briefly introduced the university, including its history, record of international cooperation and communication, the state of its Arabic major, and the Guangdong Research Institute for International Studies. He pointed out that GDUFS’s Arabic major has more than 10 years’ history, and in recent years it has produced a great many talented graduates. The Guangdong Research Institute for International Studies is committed to researching on international strategies and has already produced great achievements. He hoped both sides would deepen their understanding of each other, accelerate academic exchanges and sharing of knowledge, and even conduct further cooperation with the help of this visit. The Consulate General of the State of Qatar in Guangzhou is willing to provide help to establish cooperation relationships and launch new forms of cooperation between GDUFS and Qatari university.
