Vice President of the University of Tasmania Visited GDUFS

North Campus, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, January16th 2019: On January 15, Robert Atkinson, the Vice President of the University of Tasmania, Australia, and his delegation visited GDUFS. CHEN Linhan, the Vice President of GDUFS, met the guests in the VIP Room of the North Campus Lounge. Both sides discussed the issues about the cooperation between GDUFS and University of Tasmania and signed a cooperation framework agreement.

CHEN Linhan welcomed the delegation and briefly introduced the cooperation between GDUFS and foreign universities. He said that GDUFS has established cooperative relations with several Australian universities, and expressed the hope to strengthen the ties with the university of Tasmania in the future. He also hoped both sides could conduct in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the fields of interest to both sides, and jointly explore the possibility of establishing a Confucius institute. Robert Atkinson introduced the university of Tasmania. He pointed out that the university of Tasmania has a long history and is one of the oldest universities in Australia, ranking among the top 300 universities in the world. He hoped that through this visit, both sides can deepen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of art and social sciences. After the talks, the two universities signed a cooperation framework agreement.
