New Consul General of India in Guangzhou visited GDUFS

North Campus, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, September 25th 2018: Sujit Ghosh, the new Consul General of India in Guangzhou, visited GDUFS with his team. SHI Youqi, President of GDUFS, greeted the guests in the Reception Hall in the Administration Building where the two sides held an amicable discussion on further cooperation.

 

The meeting went well

 

During the meeting, SHI presented GDUFS to the guests with a brief introduction, which touched on the progress and achievements of the Hindi major. Set up in 2012, the Hindi major of GDUFS has cultivated three terms of graduates. Accepted into the list of Majors in the Provincial Demonstration Base for Applied Talents Training in 2014, the distinguished major has been considered to be a focus of academic research in GDUFS ever since 2016. GDUFS has build strong relationship with four universities as well as academic and cultural institutions in India. And it’s worth mentioning that GDUFS will greet a vigorous future with full support from the Consulate General of India in Guangzhou.

 

After the meeting, Sujit Ghosh expressed genuine appreciation for the achievements and progress that the GDUFS Hindi major has acheived, emphasizing the success of communications between teenagers on both sides. And it is uplifting that the Consulate General of India in Guangzhou has promised stronger support for Hindi major of GDUFS as well as further cooperationin the future.

 

Opportunity is knocking on the door

 

CAI Hong, Director of the Office for International Cooperation and Exchange attended the meeting accompanied by the official from the Faculty of Japanese Language and Culture as well as the Faculty of Asian and African Language and Culture.
