Delegation from ESC Clermont visited GDUFS

North Campus, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, January 10th 2018: On the morning of January 10th, Richard Soparnot, Vice President of ESC Clermont led a delegation to visit GDUFS. JIAO Fangtai, Vice President of GDUFS, met with the guests in the VIP Hall of the Administration Building. A delightful and friendly talk was held over such cooperative projects as academic programs, exchange of students and exchange of professors.

 

A bilateral conversation

 

During the conversation, JIAO Fangtai extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and expressed sincere thanks to their third time visit to GDUFS. He mentioned that the close and firm connection of the two parties ensured an in-depth cooperation, and he hoped that the discussion on undergraduate and graduate exchange programs could come to an agreement soon. JIAO also put forward his expectation that communication in the field of scientific research could lead to an all-round cooperation.

 

Richard Soparnot took a stand for JIAO’s detailed and practical suggestions, and appreciated all the efforts the two parties had made to enhance the development of cooperative projects. He pointed out that this visit took place not long after the conference of heads of the Chinese and French governments, which brought more meaning to the communication and collaboration between two countries. In addition, he conveyed his confidence that aspiring achievements could definitely be acquired under mutual aid and emulation.

CAI Hong, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange; ZHOU Donglan, Party Committee’s Secretary of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Culture; LIANG Jie, Vice Dean of Faculty of Business, as well as XIAO Ximing, Vice Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education, also attended the meeting. After the meeting, staff from both sides talked over matters relating to cooperative projects, and delightfully, the first group of students will start their international exchange in the autumn of 2018.
