Seminar for Members of Parliament of Tanzania visited GDUFS

On September 21st, Augustino Manyanda Masele, Head of the Seminar for Members of Parliament of Tanzania, along with 20 other participants paid a visit to GDUFS. Vice President JIAO Fangtai gave them a warm reception, and held friendly talks about expanding the range of cooperation and cementing the partnership during the meeting held in the VIP Hall of the Administration Building on the North Campus.

JIAO Fangtai gave a brief introduction of GDUFS’s history, academics and internationalized education, and pointed out that China has a long-term partnership and profound friendship with Tanzania. More and more Tanzanian students will benefit as GDUFS is going to provide them with more opportunities. He also hoped that both sides could achieve further cooperation in the future.

 

Augustino Manyanda Masele expressed his desire to get an overall idea of the developments in Guangdong, as well as knowing more about socialism with Chinese characteristics.After retrospection on the history of cooperation between China and Tanzania, he pointed out that China is an essential partner to Tanzania, and expected doing more to engage in broader and closer cooperative relations with GDUFS, in order to consolidate its friendship with China.

CAI Hong, Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, and LIANG Xuehong, Dean of the Institute for International Education, were also present at the event. After the meeting, the delegation headed for the Institute for International Education to hold a discussion with Institute of African Studies, and attended a lecture on China's actual conditions and socialism with Chinese characteristics.
