Asia Summer Program 2017 Concluded at GDUFS

On 20^th August, 2017, the closing ceremony of Asia Summer Program 2017(hereinafter referred to as ASP) was held at the library lecture hall of North Campus, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Guangzhou,China. Prof. Kim Jungsun, Vice President of Dongseo University, Korea,Pro. HE Chuantian, Vice President of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Mr. WU Junfeng, Vice Director of International Office, Mr. Liang Xuehong, Dean of Institute for International Education, Prof. WANG Fenglan and Ms. WU Yan, Deputy Deans of Institute for International Education, were present at the ceremony.

Vice President HE Chuantian pointed out in his address that under the guidance of the core spirit of ASP, and with featured international and multicultural environment of both the University and the City, this year’s program has provided a series of lectures and activities conducted in English, which enhance a better understanding of China and its traditional culture and promote better cultural exchanges. The success of this year’s program couldn’t have been achieved without the support from the ASP founding members, AUPF members and GDUFS’s faculty, staff and students. He wished the ASP 2018 hosted by Dongseo University would be a great success.

Prof. KU ARIFFIN KU HALIM from Universiti Malaysia Perlis and Prof.DAVID WILLIAMS from Josai International University, Japan spoke on behalf of the program instructors. Both of them reflected that this program enabled them to meet different people and experience different cultures which will be cherished as wonderful lifetime memories.

KHAT CHANBORMEY from Bangkok University (Host of ASP 2016), LIN Yaoyao from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (Host of ASP 2017) and KIM YOUNGHOON (Host of ASP 2018) spoke as the student representatives of the program. They said that they would cherish what they have learned from this program and hope that one day all the participants will meet again.
