Asia Summer Program 2017 at GDUFS

From August 1^st to 20^th, 156 students and teachers from 13 countries took part in Asia Summer Program 2017 at GDUFS. The program consisted of courses at GDUFS, tours to local companies and attractions, Sports Day and Culture Night.

15 core courses, including Chinese Culture, Film Studies and Tech Startups were on the curriculum. Students were able to gain the scores after they finished the lessons and passed the exams during the three weeks. Other courses, such as Chinese Calligraphy and Traditional Chinese Dances, enabled students to get a glimpse of the Chinese Culture.

Core courses

The students and teachers were also invited to visit the Shunde Country Garden Group, Guangzhou Zhujiang Brewery Group Co., Ltd, and Guangfo Florentia Village, where they learned about the production lines and the development of the companies. Besides, they had a good time in some famous attractions in Guangzhou. At Chen Clan Academy and Guangdong Museum, they were charmed by the Cantonese culture.

Visiting companies

Sports Day and Culture Night, the two traditions of the ASP, were held at the stadium. On Sports day, the students competed in games, enhancing their friendship and team spirit. During Culture Night, both stalls decorated in the styles of different cultures and performances on stage provided a good environment for mutual understanding among the students from the 13 countries.
