Ethiopia’s Deputy Consul General in Guangzhou visited GDUFS

On March 17th, Abdurehman Jemal, the Deputy Consul General of Ethiopia’s Consulate General in Guangzhou, and his party visited GDUFS. JIAO Fangtai, the Vice President, met the visitors in the VIP Hall of the Administration Building on the North Campus.

JIAO Fangtai expressed a warm welcome to the visiting Ethiopian officials in Guangzhou, and introduced the current development of internationalization at GDUFS. He said that the scale of international students at GDUFS keeps increasing, and so far, there are over 3000foreign students studyingat GDUFS. In recent years, a growing number of Ethiopian international students have come to GDUFS. Their arrivals are greatly welcome; more Ethiopian students coming to study at GDUFS is also expected in the future.

Abdurehman Jemal stated that the amicable relationship between Ethiopia and China goes back to ancient times; the relation between Ethiopia and China develops stably, and cooperation and exchanges are strengthened. He wished that more Ethiopian international students can come to study and live at the internationalized GDUFS, experiencing a happy studying abroad time. He appreciated GDUFS’s excellent education offered to international students.

After the conference, the two sides exchanged presents; the Deputy Consul General and his party held talks with Ethiopian international students at GDUFS.
