On June 15th, Shereen Shanika Dissanayake, Sri Lanka’s Consul General in Guangzhou visited GDUFS for the first time, and had a meeting about the development of co-education projects. Vice-president FANG Fanquan served her.

FANG introduced basic information to Dissanayake: GDUFS has built partnerships with 185 universities from 313 countries and regions. In April of this year, the delegation from the University of Ruhuna in Sri Lanka came to GDUFS and had negotiations for maintaining cooperation in the launch of humanities subjects, the research about the Maritime Silk Road in the 21st Century, and so on. Guangdong Institute for International Strategies (GIIS) in GDUFS seized this chance and established a partnership with the Institute for Policy Studies in Sri Lanka. Then a director from GIIS delivered more detailed information about the Maritime Silk Road project.
