Studying abroad might be one of the dreams of university students, and at GUDFS, there are a multitude of opportunities to study abroad. GDUFS offers exchange programmes with universities in over 20 countries around the world. Coventry University in the UK is one of those involved in these abroad studies programmes.

Coventry University, which has roots as far back as the 1840s, is now a well-known institution for providing a supportive learning environment for all the students. The results of the first ever National Student Survey carried out in 2005 found that its Social Work and Business subject groups received exceptional scores and ranked in the top 10% across the country.

Students who have been admitted to the programme will first study at GDUFS for two years, taking courses in English and courses related to their future majors, such as International Business and Marketing. If they can pass all the required modules (with the average of the major courses no lower than 70) and attain an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no sub-score below 5.5), they can go on to study at Coventry University for one year.

The interview in progress

On an summer afternoon, an interview was conducted between eight students on the programme and journalists from GDUFS English News. When asked about their opinions of this programme, they said that it acts as a staircase leading them up to a brighter future, providing them with the opportunities to study abroad. From their perspective, the three-year programme saves them time, and a degree from Coventry University can promote their competitiveness in the future.
