Three New Yunshan Scholars Recruited

At noon on 27th April, a meeting was held as an employment ceremony of two Yunshan scholars at the north campus. President ZHONG Weihe awarded the letters of appointment to the new blood of the Faculty of Law: Professor CHEN Xiaojun and two of her teammates. Attendees included President ZHONG Weihe, Vice President YANG Aimin and Vice Chairman of University Board SHI Youqi.

President ZHONG began the meeting with a warmest welcome and most sincere acknowledgement to the three scholars for joining our university. Then he pointed out that with the efforts of the growing number of incoming scholars of letters, GDUFS has established a great reputation nationwide for comprehensive education, instead of being confined to language teaching.“With the new blood, development of the Faculty of Law will undoubtedly reach a record high.” Also, balanced development of all subjects (language and non-language) is emphasized.

Then Vice President YANG introduced, in detail, our three new accomplished professors with their numerous contributions to the subject of law. And the brief awarding ritual ensued. President ZHONG relieved the whole atmosphere with his charming and amicable humor, and the three professors were finally officially appointed with a letter and an office key.

Professor CHEN Xiaojun gave a brief speech, as representative of her team, in which she conveyed her excitement and determination. Many universities also wanted her,but she expressed no regret for choosing GDUFS. “We feel great honor for being part of GDUFS, and responsibility has laid overtly on our shoulders as soon as we embarked on this journey. We’re not afraid, though, nor are we complacent enough to stop our feet. We believe in the principle that GDUFS values, that is treasuring people of talent. Therefore, all we should do is work heart and soul for this university, rendering education glistening to its beneficiaries.”

Professor CHENG Xiaojun is the supervisor of the Faculty of Law, previously the vice president of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. She used to be the counselor of different research councils of law in China. Specializing in civil laws, land laws and Law of Property, she has participated in over 10 related researches and published more than 70 papers on renowned academic journals nationwide.

Doctor GAO Fei is a youth scholar of the Faculty of Law. Graduating from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, he has been a member of many research councils and edited teaching materials of law. Besides, many of his research projects have been awarded as excellent achievements.

Doctor GENG Zhuo is also a youth scholar of the Faculty of Law and graduated from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. He specializes in civil and commercial laws and has published over 30 papers on many famous law-related journals. He has been addressed as one of the most excellent editors for his editorial achievements.
