13 More Foreign Teachers Bestowed with Professional Titles at Guangwai

On March 17th, the Awarding Ceremony for Professional Foreign Teachers was held at the International Conference Hall. FANG Fanquan, the Vice President of GDUFS, awarded VIRGINIA REYES DELGADO POLO and another 12 foreign teachers (including teachers from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) with the professional titles.

The Vice President FANG Fanquan delivered a speech to express his congratulations to those foreign teachers as well as his heartfelt gratitude to all foreign experts, teachers, friends and their families for their long-term contributions to Guangwai.

“The University has enacted and implemented Measures for the Administration of Foreign Teachers of GDUFS in 2014 and other related regulations on foreign teachers. Also, Human Resources Division and Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of GDUFS have successfully accomplished the evaluation of professional titles on the basis of involved regulations. And I hope that these kinds of measures and evaluations will enhance the sense of honor and belonging of them and motivate them to throw themselves into teaching, scientific research and administration work”, said FANG. In the meantime, he emphasized that Guangwai pays great attention to the recruitment of foreign talents all the time. In 2015, the University has employed 104 overseas permanent teachers and 270 overseas short-term experts.

The chief of Human Resources Division, XIE Wenxin also briefly introduced the classification of professional titles and the quality of foreign teachers at Guangwai. He wished that all foreign employees could fulfill their own achievements as well as contributions to the University. Afterwards, every titled foreign teacher came to stage to introduce themselves and conveyed their anticipations for their future careers.
