From 27th to 29th November, the 15th CNMUN was held at the ECUST (East China University of Science and Technology). The Chinese Commission was first set up at this conference.

The GDUFS delegation, consisting of Liu Yuwen who comes from the Translation Department, Chen Hongzhou and Lin Yi from the Department of Business English, finished their work very well. Lin Yi got the “Outstanding Delegate Award” and Chen Hongzhou got “the Honorable Nomination Award”. At the same time, they all got general praise from the present representatives and the commission in respect of their academic level and their contribution to the conference. The expert from the Australian Center for Human Rights, Prof. Andrea Durbach, gave particular praise to Chen Hongzhou. All these achievements show their earnestness and abilities in this conference.
With the theme of “The Process After the 2015 Millennium Development Plan”, the conference consisted of five English committee issues: “How to promote poverty reduction in the latter part of the millennium plan”; “How to confront the new-format terrorism”; “How to resolve the dilemma of the cultural inheritance of the Ethnic Minorities”; “How to insure the information safety in the information era”; “How to save the clean air owned by all humanity”. The conference had a Chinese issue: “how to decrease the global harm of contagion” and a news center.
During the conference, Mr. Lu Shumin, the Vice President of our school and the President of the CNMUN; Wang Xuexian, the Vice President; Liu Zhixian, the Vice President and Director General; Jiang Qin, the ministry of foreign affairs of international company counselor; Chen Xiaoning, Australian consulate in Shanghai consular; Natascha, the Deputy Director of the Australian human rights commission international cooperation, and other various universities conducted a good dialogue and communication about the effective development of the CNMUN activities.
