Great Performance at ABBS Meeting in Moscow

The 7th Association of BRICS Business School (ABBS) Students Meeting and International Research Conference “Risks and Threats to BRICS Economies” was held in Moscow, the capital of Russia. In a keynote speech, sports games and art performances, our university’s MBA delegation, following the concept of education internationalization, fully displayed excellent comprehensive quality and good spirit on the international stage. ABBS is a good platform that promotes the internationalization process of our university’s MBA project.

 

This meeting was hosted by ABBS and sponsored by Russia’s National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, and also gained great emphasis and support from the Russian Federation of Education and the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology as well as the Russian Academy of Sciences. More than 260 officials, experts, scholars, entrepreneurs and MBA students from over 30 colleges and universities from Russia, China, India, South Africa, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan attended this conference. Dr Yuan Denghua, Vice President of GDUFS and Dr Huang Lei took six MBA students to attend this meeting.

Yuan Denghua, as a representative of Chinese business university made a speech at the opening ceremony. At the Round Table Meeting of international symposium for scholars, Huang Lei delivered a speech upon the theme of international supervision of enterprise operation, in which he elaborated the practices and ideas of China’s corporate social responsibility and sustainable development management His speech received warm applause.

 

 

This ABBS Students Meeting involved rich activities, including a keynote speech and debate as well as commercial game and case analysis, and also a sports contest and art performance. In the contest of keynote speech, our school’s MBA team did a great job. Keynote speech and debate were divided into two stages: preliminary and final. Our university’s team competed hard with other 15 teams and finally won a silver medal. In the sports game, MBA students won two gold, one silver and two bronze medals in five projects: three-men basketball, men’s and women’s table tennis and darts, and ranked first overall. In the art performance, Xinjiang dance performed by our university’s MBA team,with its graceful movement and cheerful atmosphere, added vivid beauty to this event.

 

 

Our university’s performance received high praise from meeting host and sponsor, scholars, experts, entrepreneurs as well as teachers and students. This trip to Moscow facilitated the communication and deepened the friendship between our university’s MBA students and students from all over the world.

 

ABBS Council was also held during the meeting. The rotating president Vladimir Godin: Dean of the higher institution of Russian National Management University made a Council work report. The Council members expressed their opinions about the operation of ABBS in the future and reached a lot of consensus in aspects as the internationalization of Business education. Meanwhile, Professor J.Philip: Dean of Indian Xavier Management and Entrepreneur Institute (XIME) was elected as the next rotation president. The Council decided to hold the 8th ABBS Students Meeting in India in the late November 2016.

P.S. Association of BRICS Business School-ABBS was founded in January 2009, with the aim to promote the exchange and cooperation among higher business education in Brazil, India, China and South Africa. Now, there are over twenty member institutions. Every year, ABBS holds Students Meeting in different schools and different institutions. GDUFS ’ s MBA Education Center was one of the universities that launched ABBS, and hosted the third MBA Student Meeting, which gained widespread praise. The 7th ABBS and international symposium “Risks and Threats to BRICS Economies” gathered MBA students together, enhanced the understanding and deepened their friendship with a series of activities. This meeting held the first Round Table Meeting for scholars and entrepreneurs and had far-reaching significance of promoting cooperation between business schools and the business community.
