Los Angeles Alumni Association Donates Oscar Discs

On November 3rd, Los Angeles Alumni Association donated a series of discs: The Collection of Oscar Best Films in 1987, to GDUFS. President ZHONG Weihe accepted the donation.

President ZHONG highly recognized their kind support for the development of their Alma Mater’s education. He said that though staying in the United States, Chairman Qiao and many alumni in Los Angeles have been caring deeply about their Alma Mater and supporting its development throughout the years. As they return, they will also present a gift for the upcoming 50th anniversary celebration of GDUFS.

Chairman of the Los Angeles Alumni Association, Qiao Xin, regards it as an honor to come back to the university as an alumnus on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of GDUFS. From his view, the donation of The Collection of Oscar Best Films in 1987 not only accords with the local characteristics of Los Angeles, but also provides the fellow students of GDUFS with resources for foreign studies. It is said that it took Qiao Xin and many other alumni in Los Angeles about three weeks to collect this series of films, as they had to deal with difficulties such as the studio copyright. As the 50th anniversary celebration approaches, Qiao Xin, on behalf of the Los Angeles Alumni Association, extended his heartfelt wishes to GDUFS: making more contributions in the field of education, and creating a more brilliant future as well.
