GDUFS Contributes to CSMEF

From October 10th to 13th, the China Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CSMEF) was held in Guangzhou. Over 210 students from the Faculty of European Languages and Cultures, the Faculty of Asian Languages and Cultures and the School of Interpreting and Translation Studies offered translation services in the pavilion, demonstrating GDUFS’s high level of multi-languages translation. This fair not only gave students a chance to serve the society by using their professional knowledge, but also enriched their work experience.

This year, the CSMEF took diversified forms to present enterprises, with distinctive areas such as a food area, clothes area and medicine area. Students working in the CSMEF were required to have a good command of different technical terms so that they could help sell goods smoothly. Expressing passionate enthusiasm, our students assisted foreign companies successfully and contributed to a harmonious atmosphere in the pavilion.

Students Worked in CSMEF

It has been reported that the current CSMEF was held by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce of China and the Ministry of International Trade and Industry of Malaysia. The fair waved a flagship of “Smart, Intelligence, Innovation, Energy-Saving”, attracting more than 2006 domestic enterprises and 534 foreign enterprises. The CSMEF consisted of the China SME Summit, the International Symposium on the Development of SME, the Competition of China Makers and other two main programs. Winning the bid again, GDUFS offered translation services in the pavilion this year.
