The Sculpture Exhibition at GDUFS

After the display in Fukuoka, Japan, The 2015 Work Exhibition of Asian Modern Sculpture Art Association, which is referred to as the most influential sculpture art in Asia, was held in College of Art on the south campus of GDUFS on September 24 th. The opening ceremony was attended by general manager of Xiaozhou artistic area,Wang Qi; Deputy Secretary General of Asia Sculptor Association(China District), Zhu Kunliang; Vice President of GDUFS He Chuantian, Minister of Publicity Division, Hu Wentao; Deputy Secretary General of Logistics Division, Zhou Donglan; President of College of Art, Li Yukun; Assistant President, Luo Jinyan; Li Zhigang; and Deputy Library Director, Jiang Jipin.

The Opening Ceremony of the Exhibition

At the ceremony, Li Yukun, Wang Qi and Zhu Kunliang delivered speeches. According to Li Yukun, these works, without exception, revealed the latest conception of the contemporary art of sculpture as well as academic altitude, bringing beneficial inspiration and favorable effects to the teaching and creation of the College of Art. Moreover, as the first exhibition ever held in the college and coinciding with the 50th anniversary of GDUFS and the 10th anniversary of the college, such an exhibition could not be more meaningful.

With the theme of modern ideas, the exhibition, displaying 22 works of mini sculpture and appealing for ability as well as the spirit of free creation, involves a special artists group who come from Japan, Korea, China and so on. Consequently, the public spoke highly of it. In addition, held by Asia Modern Sculpture Association (China District) together with the College of Art of GDUFS and Xiaozhou artistic area, it is going to come to an end on October 8 th.
