The Center for Pacific Island Studies has set as its mission to perform full-scale research with Pacific island countries in terms of establishing a database of Pacific Island countries, researching opportunities for further cooperation, offering policy proposals as well as launching projects to cultivate youth leaders for Pacific Island countries. Hopefully, the Center will meet China’s need to promote closer relationships with Pacific Island countries under these new conditions.
