The Foundation of GDUFS's Nansha Alumni Association in Panyu

On the afternoon of May 30, the foundation ceremony of GDUFS's Nansha Alumni Association was held in the Academic Hall on the South Campus of our university. It is the 63rd alumni association of GDUFS as well as the first association that had its’ foundation ceremony held at GDUFS.

President ZHONG Weihe, Vice President HE Chuantian, the General Secretary of the GDUFS Alumni Association, XIE Weiguang, the Chairman of the Nansha Alumni Association, YANG Bingyao, General Secretary ZHANG Ruilin and distinguished guests from other associations attended the ceremony. Hundreds of alumnae who live or work in the Nansha or Panyu areas gathered together for the celebration. The ceremony was chaired by GDUFS alumnae XIAO Jiexin and CHEN Zhiwei.

President ZHONG Weihe began his speech by firstly extending his congratulations to the establishment of the Nansha Alumni Association in Panyu. He expressed his feelings that GDUFS is proud of all its’ alumnae and his gratitude that the alumnus all have made extraordinary efforts in preparation for the ceremony. They wrote song for the association so as to express their sincere feelings to GDUFS. President ZHONG Weihe introduced the achievements the university has made in recent years and the current situation of GDUFS. He also stated that every step of GDUFS’s development is closely related to the concern and support of the alumnae and hopes that all the alumnaes may work with students and staff in GDUFS in order to build GDUFS into an international university with distinctive features and high quality. Too, he invited all the alumnus to attend the 50th anniversary of the foundation of GDUFS and to celebrate the day together.

YANG Bingyao expresses his wish to communicate with other alumni associations

Then, the chairman of Nansha Alumni Association YANG Bingyao gave his speech mentioning that the Nansha Alumni Association will strengthen the relationship between all alumnae and between the association and the university so as to improve the internal cohesion, cooperation and communication with other associations and make joint progress.

ZHANG Ruilin introduces the general information for the preparation of the Nansha Alumni Association

ZHANG Ruilin introduced the general information for the preparation of the Nansha Alumni Association. He pointed out that the Nansha Alumni Association is established under the circumstance of extending the influence and coverage of its members and increasingly bringing closer relationships between all alumnae e. At the end of his speech, he announced the election of the members of the 1st Council, a move which was approved unanimously by all the attendees.

LIANG Chengjin reveals his expectation of a closer connection between associations all over the world

The chairman of the Hong Kong Alumni Association, LIANG Chengjin, who was enrolled at GDUFS in 1972, expressed his appreciation to GDUFS as well as his congratulations to the foundation of the Nansha Alumni Association. He highly praised it for its large assembly of talent. He also wished to enhance the connection with other associations and for all to make a contribution to GDUFS’s development.

HE Chuantian awards a plague to the Association on behalf of GDUFS

On behalf of GDUFS, Vice President HE Chuantian awarded a plaque and association flag to the Nansha Association. Representatives from other alumni associations also presented their gifts. Many associations and representatives for overseas alumnae also sent their congratulations via videos .

During the ceremony, the Guangmaoyuan Alumni Association and the GDUFS Dance Team send their congratulations through Kongfu and Dancing Performances respectively.
