Eight GDUFS Projects Receive Financial Assistance from “Provincial Famous Overseas Teachers” Project

In order to develop Guangdong Province by training talents and supporting provincial universities in their recruitment of famous overseas teachers, the Guangdong Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs launched a program christened; “Famous Overseas Teachers” as a project for the year 2014. By passing close scrutiny and experts’ evaluations, 8 projects that GDUFS applied for received a total of 225,000 RMB from the Provincial Special Fund to Finance the Introduction of Intelligent Talent.

The administration proposes to support the international travel costs , food and lodging costs, transport expenses and salary for the experts coming to Guangdong Province. Each project that was selected is funded by accounts ranging from 30,000 RMB to 50,000 RMB. Up to now, GDUFS has passed the application for such programs as“top foreign experts project”, sponsored by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs; “Provincial Top Foreign Experts Projects”, sponsored by the Guangdong Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs and the “Provincial Famous Overseas Teachers” project. The short-term funding is covered by the “Famous Overseas Teachers” project within the university, with multiple levels and channels of subventions based on the level of the overseas experts experience and other qualifications.
