Feb. 2nd -- Febuary 10th kicks off the beginning of the Chinese New Year - the year of the snake. President Zhong Weihe and CPC Secretary Sui Guangjun paid visits to the teaching and administrative personnel on both the north and south campus. The President celebrated the lunar new year with his colleagues on the north campus while the Secretary provided support on the south campus. The GDUFS Lion Dancing Team performed a traditional lion dance in front of the school gates, creating an atmosphere of great happiness and harmony. Before the dance, the President and the Secretary symbolically painted the eyes of the lion costumes to ''awaken them''. As an important element in lion dancing, a lion having his eyes painted open means that he is awake and ready to bring safety and prosperity to the community. At the end of the ceremony, the President and the Secretary conveyed their new year wishes and sent out lucky money to the staff.
