The Fifth Anniversary Celebration of the MBA School in GDUFS

Oct. 25^th 桾he fifth anniversary celebration of the opening of GDUFS' MBA School was held on the north campus on October 21^st. Vice President Youqi Shi chaired the ceremony with alumni, company representatives, and government officials. Teachers and students also attended.

The lion dance marked the prelude to the celebration and the ceremony was successfully executed by President Weihe Zhong, Party Secretary Guangjun Sui and some committee members from the MBA School.

Later, Guangjun Sui gave a speech to express that GDUFS' MBA School insists on the path of connotative development. Besides this, he hopes that the MBA School will continue improving their educational development and become a high-level business school with international features.

Hua Huang, who won the Special Award of Merit of MBA Education, gave his acceptance speech at the awarding ceremony. He shared his wish that the MBA School of GDUFS will have a bright future and the alumni will make more contributions to their alma mater. At the end of the ceremony, the delegation gave mementoes to the School and the alumni at the spot that was donated to the SMILE Fund of MBA Education.

Mengyou Zhang used two companies as examples to illustrate that remodeling your business structure is the key for companies who want to become more competitive and achieve sustainable development. And the competitive advantages of the business model result from the strategic positioning, clear aims, specific business practices, and effective financial strategies.

Yong Hu attached great importance to the cultivation of both management and the workforce. He said that the success of an enterprise is associated with innovation, efficiency, toleration and teamwork. At the same time, the employees of a successful enterprise should have good virtues as well such as diligence, passion, and confidence.

The Dean of the MBA School, Xiaoqin Sun, introduced the curent development and features, as well as the upcoming prospects of GDUFS' MBA School. She said that on the one hand, the School will stick to the idea of Global Vision and English Teaching, while on the other hand she admitted that there were still some problems to be solved, such as the cooperation with companies and teacher resources. No matter how tough it would be, she believes the MBA School can face the difficulties head on and see new achievements. Finally after the discussion, Party Secretary Guangjun Sui made a conclusion and expressed his expectations for GDUFS' MBA School in the following five years.

At the second affiliated venue, Yuran Zeng introduced three of the MBA School's training programs to the conferees, including the curriculum reform, teaching evaluation and OCW (opencourseware). During the discussion, conferees gave their advice on the three programs.

Youxiao Yang suggested that the evaluation of MBA education should be divided into two parts, one for teachers and the other for the design of the curriculum. Qing Li suggested the setting of the MBA抯 curriculum should be innovative and have international features. Apart from all these, he also emphasized that the MBA School should strenghen cooperations with other faculties to raise it's efficiency and cultivate more high-qualified teachers.
