Delegation from Jamaica, Republic of Trinidad and Tobago Visited GDUFS

North Campus, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, December 2nd, 2019: Danielle Mills, President of the Public Relations Committee of the Jamaica Labour Party, and Ancil Antoine, Congressman of Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, led a delegation to visit GDUFS on November 25th. SHI Youqi, President of GDUFS, greeted the guests in the VIP Hall of the Administration Building. The conversation focused on the development of Guangdong economy and current cooperation with Latin-American countries.

 SHI introduced the history and current situation of GDUFS, thinking highly of its cooperative relationship with over 20 educational institutes in Latin-America. GDUFS places extensive values on academic research in Latin America, and also looks forward to further cooperation to cultivate talented teachers and students between China, Jamaica and Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

 

 As Danielle Mills said in the conference, the visit was meant to benefit from the achievements that China has made on its 70th anniversary, enriched by its experience on constructing the Belt and Road Initiative, with the hope of strengthening the bond between Latin-America and China.

 KE Xiaohua, Director of Office of International Cooperation and Exchange; ZHU Wenzhong, Director of the Center for Latin American Studies; and SUN Churen, professor of Guangdong Institute for International Strategies, took part in the conference. After the meeting, the delegation had forums with professors and experts from the Center for Latin American Studies and the Guangdong Institute for International Strategies.
