Consul General of Kuwait in Guangzhou Visits GDUFS

On June 25th, Khalifa Alkhorafi, Consul General of Kuwait Consulate General in Guangzhou, visited GDUFS. JIAO Fangtai, Vice President of GDUFS, met with the guests in the VIP room of the administration building.

 

The Talks

 

JIAO welcomed the visit of Khalifa Alkhorafi. He noted that China and Kuwait have long enjoyed cooperative relations. Under the background of China's "One Belt And One Road" proposal, the two countries have further opportunities to develop cooperation. He pointed out that the number of foreign students interested in China is increasing, as is the number of Chinese students interested in Arabic. He was very happy to support GDUFS and Kuwait in colleges and universities to establish various cooperative relations, welcoming students to study in our school from Kuwait. He hopes to introduce foreign teachers to GDUFS in the future, as well as to assist the students inGDUFS to study abroad in Kuwait. Also, he encourages teachers in our school to embark on academic exchanges with Kuwait universities.

 

Khalifa Alkhorafi said he visited some enterprises and universities in Guangzhou and was deeply impressed by China's rapid development and the importance the Chinese government attaches to educational exchange. He expressed hope that more Kuwaitis could learn Chinese and Chinese learn Arabic so as to further increase understanding and exchange between the two countries. He hopes to expand cooperation with the university through this visit, especially the cooperation with GDUFS of international students' education in developing short-term Chinese training courses.
