Professor Shi Youqi received his LL.B. in 1992 and LL.M. in 1998 from South Central University of Economics and Law, and his doctoral degree in law from Peking University in 2002. He has been full professor since 2004 and doctoral supervisor since 2005.
His main research interests include administrative law, administrative procedure law, civil servant law, state compensation law and regional rule of law. He has been principal investigator of eleven national research projects, authored over twenty academic monographs or textbooks and over 100 academic papers. He has been recipient of national or provincial awards for excellence in research.
He holds a number of other academic or social positions among which are member of the National Teaching Steering Committee of Law Majors, council member of China Law Society, permanent council member of China Society for Procedure Law Research, vice president of Guangdong Law Society, and vice president of the Society for Procedure Law Research, Hubei Law Society.
He has been Vice President of the University since 2008.He is now President and Vice Chairman of the University Management Board.
