Georgian Embassy Delegation visited GDUFS

On June 1st 2017, the delegation from the Embassy of Georgia in China visited GDUFS. Mr. David Aptsiauri, the Ambassador of Georgia in China, accompanied by Tinatin Shishinashvili, the First Secretary of the Embassy of Georgia, met SUI Guangjun, Chairman of University Board, and JIAO Fangtai, Vice President of GDUFS, in the VIP Hall of the Administration Building on the North Campus. The two parties exchanged views on the cooperation between the two countries as well as the cooperation between their universities and ours under the Belt and Road Initiative.

 

First of all, SUI Guangjun expressed his warm welcome to the Ambassador on behalf of GDUFS. He then gave a brief introduction of GDUFS from the history, academic achievements and international cooperation. He mentioned that the Faculty of European Languages and Cultures is cooperating with some universities in Georgia and he looks forward to further cooperation between the two countries.

 

SUI talked with Mr. David

 

Mr. David Aptsiauri then discussed his ideas. He expressed his gratitude for the invitation firstly. He stated that the Sino-Georgia relationship has a solid foundation and it is a good example of international relations. When it comes to the field of cooperation, he attached great importance to education. He wished that GDUFS and their universities could establish a comprehensive partnership which can forester more and more students meeting the international demands under the Belt and Road Initiative.

 

The two parties also reached a consensus that they should establish close ties with each other under the background of the Belt and Road Initiative. “It’s a good time to start the relationship,” Mr. David Aptsiauri said.
