Professor Chen Linhan received his B.A. in English from Central China Normal University in 1982, M.A. in Education from the University of Bristol in 1999 and working on his Ph.D. in Education from the University of Coventry.
His main research interests are English linguistics and pedagogy. He has been principal investigator of two provincial projects and authored over ten academic papers, two textbooks and a Chinese translation of a British novel.
He served a number of managerial positions in GDUFS since 1999 including Assistant President (2012-2014). He received a national award in 2009 by the Ministry of Education for administrative excellence in international education.
