We are looking for teachers in the following fields for the academic year 2012-2013

Qualification of applicants

1) Masters Degree or above

2) Age: below 60

3)Language: English Native Speaker

4) More than 2 years teaching experience in university, college, or high school;

5) Can accept at least one semester ( 4 months) or one academic year ( 11 months) teaching arrangements at GDUFS

 

Job status: Full-time employee

 

Remuneration

The University (GDUFS) provides every foreign teacher a whole package of remuneration which includes salary, international travel subsidy, insurance, accommodation, domestic excursions, and preferential measures on education for foreign teachers’ children.

 

1) Salary

In order to attract more experienced and highly professional foreign experts to teach on GDUFS campus, the University made some new policies to substantially increase the available salary for these experts. Therefore, the University is now able to provide up-to RMB20, 000 of monthly salary to world-wide famous Professors that can be active participants in teaching and research in their specific field.

 

2) International Travel Subsidy

Besides a monthly salary, the University shall pay each foreign teacher a certain amount of international travel subsidy to basically cover a round trip (for 1-year contract) or a single trip (for a half-year contract) from abroad to Guangzhou. This subsidy will be divided into several parts based on the length of each teacher’s contract and paid monthly by the University together with the teacher’s monthly salary as a whole.

 

3) Insurance

Once a foreign teacher signs the contract with the University, the International Office will buy this foreign teacher an insurance that covers accidents and medical care. The length of insurance shall be consistent with the period of validity of the Contract.

 

4) Accommodation

The University provides all contract foreign teachers free accommodations on campus. Most of the rooms are equipped with internet connections, furniture, necessary electric appliances, kitchens and bathrooms. However, the electricity and gas bills shall be paid for personally by foreign teachers themselves.

 

5) Domestic Excursions

Every semester, the International Office of the University will organize two domestic excursions for all foreign teachers and their families. The excursions are basically free, but teachers willing to participate are asked to pay for the airfare of their families in case of long distance trips.

 

6) Preferential Policies for Children’s Education

The children of the University’s foreign teachers enjoy the same preferential policies on education as those of the Chinese teachers’. A foreign teacher pays half of the regular tuition fee for their children going to the affiliated elementary, junior high, senior high or the University.
